Personal Injury

Frequently Asked Questions About Personal Injury Law

How soon should I seek medical attention?

If you are injured due to a car accident or a fall, it is important that you seek medical treatment quickly. Delays in treatment can be very harmful to a case as it signals to the insurance company that the injuries are minor. I would advise people to have regular, consistent, reasonable treatment until they are better.

How do I prove my slip and fall incident was not from my own negligence?

Document the condition causing the fall, by obtaining photos of the condition and the surroundings. With any legal matter evidence is key. This same rule of thumb applies to motor vehicle accidents, dog bites, and all other personal injury matters.

Can social media hurt my case?

When it comes to social media, it is highly encouraged to refrain from posting ANYTHING related to your case, including incident description, photos, and/or treatment updates. Also, do not post about anything related to physical activity until your claim has been resolved.

Which auto insurance policy coverages should I consider to keep myself best protected?

Roughly every 1 of 8 drivers on the road are uninsured and the following policy coverages are recommended to protect you from having to pay for your physical injuries:

* Uninsured/Underinsured (UM/UIM) Motorist Coverage: UM/UIM coverage protects you if the at fault driver has no insurance or insufficient insurance to cover any related medical bills, lost income, pain and suffering claims.
* Medical Payments Coverage: Medical payments coverage will help with all related medical bills, even if the accident was your fault.
